Through the “Get on the Rickshaw” microcredit project, carried out in 2007 in Bangladesh, contributed to reducing poverty in the most affected urban and rural areas, offering loans for the purchase of rickshaws for people at risk of socio-labor exclusion.

The rickshaw is one of the most used means of transportation by the population living in Dhaka and in other cities of Bangladesh. It is a type of car that acts as a taxi and is normally driven by a young person who pedals and transports two or three people during each trip.

Thanks to this initiative, of a single edition, 242 families achieved job placement through rickshaw financing in collaboration with the local partner, the cooperative Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS).

Specifically, in 2008 there were 247 rickshaws in operation in Dhaka thanks to the Justice Foundation project; and in the year In 2009, the number amounted to 260 rickshaws.
