Our doctor, and patron of Fundación por la Justicia, Rafael Fernández, reflects in this article for El Levante EMV about the importance of Health as a right, on World Health Day, which has been celebrated every April 7 since 1950.

According to the WHO, health is not only the absence of disease, but also "the state of somatic, psychological and social well-being of the individual and the community." SDG 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) points precisely to “the need to guarantee healthy lives and promote well-being at all ages.”

As the author reminds us: «the pandemic and war, although they are the most pressing problems at the current time, cannot make us forget that health is a fundamental human right, although reality shows that it is an unattainable utopia in many places and for a large part of humanity.
