Program Description
This project, aimed at teenagers between 13 and 19 years old residents in four Valencian municipalities affected by the DANA storm (Beniparrell, Benetússer, Aldaia and La Torre) proposes a 15-month intervention based on participatory photography as a tool of psycho-emotional support and community reconstruction. Through the methodology photovoice, The aim is to create safe spaces where young people can express their experiences, collectively process the effects of the disaster, recover their connection with the territory, and actively participate in the symbolic and social reconstruction of their communities.
The proposal is structured around participatory workshops The workshops will be conducted in four groups, each lasting four months. They will be organized in cycles across different locations. Each workshop will include weekly sessions facilitated by a participatory photography expert, with support from a psychologist specializing in emotional support. The process will be documented in audiovisual format, interviews will be recorded with members of the participating communities, and exhibitions and a final collective publication will be produced as mechanisms for feedback, visibility, and impact.
