The Nobel Peace Prize Muhammad Yunus, Human Rights Prize winner from the 2006 Foundation for Justice, visited in 2018 several Spanish cities to present his latest book: A world of three zeros: The new economy of zero poverty, zero unemployment and zero net carbon emissions.
He took advantage of this visit to meet with different representatives of Valencian companies, organizations and institutions with the aim of transmit their knowledge in the application of microcredits and social entrepreneurship as fundamental tools for the empowerment of low-income women, the key to lifting millions of people out of poverty.
Yunus also brought another clear message: social enterprise as a solution to these great global challenges: poverty, unemployment and carbon emissions.
Fruit of that inspiration, to continue the legacy of Professor Yunus, is born «The Promoter» of social enterprises. An association promoted by the Novaterra Foundation, which Fundación por la Justicia has joined, along with other entities, to be a guarantor of SDG 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals:
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, facilitate access to justice for all and build effective and inclusive accountable institutions at all levels
