More than 30 third sector entities receive solidarity checks from ICAV

March 15, 2022

  • The ICAV distributes 88,000 euros among 31 entities dedicated to social work

The iCAV has held its traditional ceremony to deliver “solidarity checks” to benefit 31 entities that carry out their work through social projects. The representatives of each of the organizations collected the contribution from the dean, Helper Borja. Present with her was the vice dean, Ángela Coquillat, the secretary of the Governing Board, Francisco Ferrer -in charge of naming the entities one by one-, and the 4th deputy, Yolanda Sánchez.

The amounts donated correspond to 1% of the annual budget that the ICAV reserves each year to finance solidarity projects, a total of €88,000. In one of the most endearing acts of the College, the dean assured that “this year we wanted to include among the beneficiaries of the solidarity checks two entities that will undoubtedly use them in the best possible way to try to provide relief to those who need it most. I am referring on the one hand to the College of Ukraine and on the other to Cáritas de Santa Cruz de La Palma. “We do not want to stop doing our part and contribute to improving the situation of the most vulnerable.”

The delivery of the donations took place in the ICAV assembly hall, with the presence of representatives of the different beneficiary Foundations and NGOs of Valencian and Spanish society, who wanted to thank the College for its contribution.

The contribution of the 1% of the annual budget by the ICAV is part of the actions that the institution develops within its Social Responsibility project for the Legal Profession, which pursues as its ultimate goal the improvement of the quality of life and the guarantee of fundamental rights of people who have fewer resources.

This year the distribution has been made to a total of 31 entities dedicated to solidarity projects, among which are NGOs, Foundations and Associations, among them Fundación por la Justicia, on whose behalf our patron Luis Miguel Romero attended the delivery of checks. .
