The jury highlights among Cavadas' "multiple" merits his altruistic work in Kenya and other African countries, in conditions of special difficulty
Dr. Pedro Cavadas, a specialist in reconstructive medicine, has been awarded the VIII Prize of the Foundation for Justice, according to sources from the entity. The jury, which made this decision after meeting today, highlighted among his "many" merits his altruistic work in Kenya and other African countries, under conditions of special difficulty.
Likewise, he stressed his "commitment" to justice in its protective aspect of a human right as basic as health and physical integrity, and the value given to his specific activity and the incentive that Valencian society represents for all professionals to get involved in solidarity causes that recognize the dignity of others and that imply a commitment to especially vulnerable people and communities.
Reasons such as the protection of health, physical integrity and his work carried out altruistically in Kenya have been definitive for the award of such a reward.
"The main link between Dr. Cavadas and the Foundation is that we both work for the reconstruction of people's rights," said the president of the foundation, José María Tomás.
