Foundation for Justice will carry out, starting next September, the new free online training course in Human Rights and SDGs aimed at volunteering in the Valencian Community. Through this course the aim is to train Valencian citizens in matters of human rights, equity and social justice. The objective of the course is to turn volunteers into agents of social change.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – signed on September 25, 2015 by the heads of State and Government of the 193 member countries of the United Nations – aims to advance towards societies with inclusive economic growth and greater cohesion and social justice, in peace and with a sustainable environmental horizon. To this end, the program establishes 17 universal Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are applied in the same way in both Northern countries and structurally impoverished countries, seeking to reverse poverty, inequality and environmental degradation of the planet.
The main objective that FxJ pursues with this project is to increase the commitment and involvement of volunteers in the Valencian Community with the achievement of the SDGs and their goals, promoting a training tool that takes on the complexity of this challenge under the motto of “leave no one behind.”
The course will have a total 70 places available, which will be filled until capacity is reached. Volunteers from non-governmental organizations in the Valencian Community will have priority in registration.. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The start of the course is scheduled for September 7 and will end on October 7.
