Description
The present Refugee Resource Guide It collects the most relevant information related to the lines of action and reception procedures carried out by those public and private organizations in the province of Valencia, whose work is related to the group of refugees found in this geographical area.
This work has been structured as follows:
- First of all, it defines and delimits the group to which the document is directed, followed by an explanation of the methodology used for its realization.
- From there, we analyze the asylum process outline, that is, the phases that refugees have to follow once they arrive in Spain.
- The bulk of the work includes a presentation of all those entities that work with refugees in the province of Valencia providing them with support in some way, along with their main lines of action and contacts. This information is intended to be of great help to all those people interested in knowing the map of agents and procedures involved in the refugee reception process.
- Finally, the Fundación por la Justicia wanted to point out a series of final thoughts derived from the entire process of creating the guide.
Background
The development of this Resource Guide for Refugees is part of a more ambitious project called Benvinguts promoted by Fundación por la Justicia and whose main objective is to promote a series of actions for the benefit of refugees through the implementation of combined actions of social insertion, training, job insertion and awareness-raising. All this to improve their living conditions and avoid their social exclusion. In particular, the lines of action of the Foundation for Justice in this matter are:
- Implementation of a space for hosting refugees on the outskirts of the town of Carcaixent (Valencia).
- Realization of training courses, both about languages and about topics of agri-food, using the project methodology Agrosolidaris of Foundation for Justice.
- Preparation of a «Refugee Resource Guide» which collects all the information related to the organizations, services and activities existing in the Valencian Community in this matter.
- Design of a awareness campaign to bring all the information on the issue of refugees closer to the general public.
