Program Description
La Escoleta Matinal es una iniciativa de Fundación por la Justicia (FxJ) que busca reducir el riesgo de exclusión social de niños y niñas en situación de alta vulnerabilidad del barrio de Nazaret (València), atendiendo de manera integral sus necesidades de desarrollo y acompañando también a sus cuidadoras y familias. El proyecto se implementa en el Colegio Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados, situado en uno de los barrios con mayores índices de pobreza, abandono escolar y segregación educativa de la ciudad.
La intervención parte de una constatación clara: sin una atención sostenida a las condiciones de vida, aprendizaje y vínculos afectivos de la infancia vulnerable, el abandono educativo y la exclusión social se perpetúan. Así pues, la Escoleta ofrece cada mañana, de lunes a viernes, de 8:30 a 9:30 h, un espacio seguro y estructurado que combina atención a necesidades básicas, actividades lúdicas, apoyo psicoemocional y acompañamiento familiar. Todo ello con el objetivo de reducir las tasas de abandono escolar temprano, mejorar el rendimiento escolar y fomentar la convivencia e integración cultural, actuando de forma preventiva ante los factores que conducen a la exclusión educativa.
El programa se articula en torno a cuatro áreas complementarias:
- Satisfacción de necesidades básicas, mediante desayunos equilibrados y rutinas diarias de higiene como refuerzo de hábitos saludables y de asistencia escolar.
- Actividades educativas, lúdicas, deportivas y artísticas, que fomentan la autoestima, la convivencia y la cultura de paz.
- Acompañamiento a las personas cuidadoras, con encuentros formativos e individuales que fortalecen sus capacidades de cuidado y orientación educativa.
- Apoyo psicológico, con atención individual y grupal a cargo de profesionales especializadas.
Desde su inicio en el curso 2013/14, se han realizado unos 220 acompañamientos a menores, quienes han mejorado su rendimiento académico, reducido significativamente su absentismo y adquirido herramientas personales y emocionales para afrontar situaciones de conflicto y exclusión. Además, el proyecto ha consolidado una red de trabajo en colaboración con el centro educativo, Cáritas, otras entidades sociales del barrio y un equipo estable de voluntariado.
