The Foundation for Justice, Las Provincias, Levante EMV, Mar Galcerán, Sprinter, and the General Directorate for People with Disabilities of the Valencia City Council are the winners of the 2025 ONCE Social Group Valencian Community Solidarity Awards.

 

These Solidarity Awards are the highest distinction granted by the ONCE Social Group at the regional level, the objective of which is to recognize individuals or legal entities that stand out for their charitable work in their area of influence.

 

The Solidarios Award for Institution, Organization, Entity, or NGO goes to the Foundation for Justice on its 30th anniversary for the promotion and defense of human rights in Spain and in the most disadvantaged countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Since its founding, the Foundation for Justice has managed more than 200 projects in international development cooperation, global citizenship education, awareness-raising, and social action.

 

In the Program, article or communication project category, the joint award goes to Las Provincias and Levante EMV, for their excellent coverage.

The jury awarded the Solidarity Award to the Individual to Mar Galcerán, for her personal efforts in overcoming the difficulties arising from her disability and for achieving, among other achievements, the first female MP with Down syndrome in Spain, thus becoming a role model for the community of people with disabilities and a spearhead for their political participation.

 

The award in the Business category goes to Sprinter, for its decisive progress in hiring people with disabilities in general and for its incorporation into the Pisadas con dignidad project for hiring people with achondroplasia.

 

Finally, in the Public Administration category, the Solidarios award goes to the Valencia City Council, General Directorate of People with Disabilities
Disability, to integrate comprehensive accessibility into all of the city of Valencia's framework strategies, taking into account the needs of all entities representing people with disabilities in the city.

 

The jury for the ONCE Social Group Solidarity Awards in the Valencian Community 2025 was composed of Aurora Aranda Heras, Director of Caritas Valencia; Bárbara Congost Mirón, General Director for Disability, Generalitat Valenciana; Mónica Ros Rubio, journalist; Ana Díaz Alonso, General Councillor for Social Policies and Territorial Councils at ONCE; José Manuel Pichel Jallas, delegate for the Valencian Community of ONCE; and Enrique Llin Ruiz, President of the Territorial Council of ONCE in the Valencian Community.

 

The ONCE Community of Valencia Social Group Solidarity Awards 2025 will be presented at a gala held on September 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the La Rambleta Theater in Valencia.
