What is it like to live in prison? They tell their stories in their own words.
The women from the Picassent Penitentiary Center who have participated in our project Futures in freedom – Emotions on stage for integra-art, They have collectively created a theatrical script based on their experiences, reflections and life events.
With this publication, we want to take another step: to make their words reach beyond the walls.
Although the play cannot be performed outside the prison, the script can be shared. Therefore, you can read the full text so that their voices can reach more people and offer new perspectives on life in prison.
Futures in Freedom is a project of the Foundation for Justice, with the participation of Lidia Hervás and Paula Sánchez, using social theatre and the methodologies of Theatre of the Oppressed and Forum Theatre. It is financially supported by the Valencia City Council.
