GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The person responsible for international projects and economic management will lead the identification, formulation, execution, monitoring and justification of the Foundation's international cooperation projects, as well as the economic and financial management of the entire organization, including the economic aspects of HumansFest (Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival), coordinating directly with the festival team for everything related to its economic management.

FOUNDATION FOR JUSTICE (FxJ) FxJ is a non-profit, independent, and non-denominational organization that has been working since 1994 to promote and defend human rights, both in Spain and in countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Its mission is achieved through actions that denounce injustice and advocate for the restoration of fundamental rights. REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Degree in International Cooperation, Economics, Business Administration, International Relations or related fields.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in international cooperation project management, global citizenship education, cultural management and/or social action.
  • Knowledge of the procedures of international funders (mainly the EU)
  • Mastery of project formulation and logical frameworks.
  • Experience in financial management and preparation of economic justifications.
  • Professional level English (essential); French or other languages are a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and budget management tools.

The following will be taken into account:

  • Experience in economic management of film festivals, cultural events or projects with mixed budgets (public/private).
  • Knowledge of European funds (Erasmus+, DEAR, Creative Europe, Horizon Europe).
  • Training in project auditing or accounting applied to the third sector.
  • Experience working in the field or with counterparts in the global south.
  • Network of contacts in the field of international and/or European cooperation.

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify international funding opportunities (EU, AECID, United Nations, Generalitat Valenciana, etc.) and prepare project proposals.
  • Formulating international projects: designing logical frameworks, budgets, timelines, and evaluation plans.
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of cooperation projects with local and international partners (e.g., Court of Justice).
  • Restorative medicine in El Salvador or other countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America).
  • Prepare technical and financial reports for international funders and auditors.
  • Oversee the economic and accounting management of international projects.
  • Manage the finances of HumansFest in coordination with the independent festival team: budget, monitoring of income and expenses, justifications to festival funders (ICAA, Ajuntament de València, Diputació, etc.).
  • Coordinate with headquarters management for the overall financial consistency of the organization.
  • Perform budget monitoring of the entire FxJ set and analysis of deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with eligibility regulations and auditing of public funds.
  • Maintain relationships with partners, counterparts and international funding bodies.
  • Support the Technical and General Management in the financial planning and sustainability of the organization.

 

OFFER CONDITIONS

Day: 8pm (extendable to full time)
Contract duration: indefinite (6 months trial period).
Start date: immediate.
Workplace: In person, at Calle Ripalda, 16, Valencia, with the option of occasional teleworking (to be agreed with the rest of the team).
Remuneration in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Social Action and Intervention, Group 1.
