more just.
The act has begun with a few hours of welcome from José María Lozano, president of the CVC. I Ana Noguera, also a member of the Consell, has continued to be in charge of presenting the conference and the entity that she presides over, the value of which, she said, she believed in at a time when human rights are experiencing difficulties in many areas of the world. José María Tomás has started the conference precisely here, due to the situation of the human rights recognized in the Universal Declaration of 1948 in a global context of massive inequalities and migrations. It has been said that the protection of human dignity expressed in this Charter must be a moral witchcraft, a starting point and not a privilege, the heart of progress and a limit to power. He has also insisted on the need for
reconcile Humanity with the natural environment in which capdavall would be the union of environmental and social justice. José María Tomás has volgut to emphasize that human rights are not a utopia, but rather a horizon, and that injustices, great or small, must be denounced without rest or surrender.
José María Tomás, however, has remembered that reptes nous, drets nous, have been formed since 1948. For example, sustainable development, threatens the conflicts that destroy the world (56 at the moment), the chords of the climatic peaks, threatens the systematic incompliments and, likewise, the chords about migrations and asylum, also generally incomplete. The second part of the conference was dedicated to the concrete work of the
foundation that he presides. It has presented various videos of objects and activities, based on a global and local work that can be derived from four paragraphs that begin with “C”: conviction, coherence, concretion and commitment. Among others, it has cited the Escola Ciutadana de Salut, the film festival on human rights, international cooperation projects, financing for microenterprises, projects for female empowerment and the Escola de Ball.
José María Tomás finished the conference reminding us of the importance of being attentive to the rights of others, to take care of these rights. Always with a friendly disposition; because, as it is said, pain and tension are protectors of life in a way that becomes more tense and angry every time.
