Mario de la Torre made el seu debut amb la shortfilm Xocolata amb Churros (2006), winner de les New Arrivals awards en el Rotterdam Film Festival. The documentary Harraga (2008) nominated to the Goya Awards. La Condemna (2009) va editar-se en la col·lecció Filmoteca FNAC i va crear en festivals per tot el món. Hunger (2012), les últim film, les selected als festivals a Sitges, Gijón or Odense.
