- Young people aged between 18 and 25 who study at any center in the Valencian Community can apply
- The Youth Jury will watch all the films in the Official Feature Film Section (both fiction and documentary) and will award a prize for Best Feature Film
- The organization will take into account the connection with studies related to audiovisual media, culture or the arts and the quality of the letter of motivation
The 17th edition of Humans Fest, The Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival, organized by the Foundation for Justice, announces some of its news. This year, for the first time, the festival will feature a Youth Jury, a common feature at many festivals whose objective is to promote audiovisual culture among young people and encourage their active participation in the cultural life and activities of their communities. This initiative aligns with the theme of the 17th edition, which will be dedicated to... children's and youth rights.
The organization of Humans Fest opens the call to be part of the Jurat Jove Humans Fest 2026, which will grant the Jove Humans Fest Jury Award for Best Feature Film from the official competition section. The jury will be composed of a total of five people between the ages of 18 and 25, who are students in the current academic year (25/26) in an educational center of the Valencian Community, whether it be a school, institute, training center or university.
Interested parties should complete the registration form. Studies related to audiovisual media, culture and the arts, sensitivity towards human rights, perspective and motivation will be taken into account. The quality of the letter of motivation will also be considered, and it should address the question of “Why would you like to be part of the Jurat Jove Humans Fest 2026?”.
The Youth Jury will attend in person the screenings of the films in the Official Feature Film Section (both fiction and documentary) at the Babel Cinemas in Valencia, and will deliberate on the award. Jove Humans Fest Jury Award for Best Feature Film, which will be presented along with the rest of the awards at the awards ceremony on June 6, 2026.
