The INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ON FILM AND HUMAN RIGHTS DE VALÈNCIA, the Humans Fest, is one of the main awareness-raising activities, if not the most important, promoted by the Foundation for Justice.
Started in 2008 and with 12 editions already made, the festival has achieved a balance between defending human rights and denouncing their violations around the world and at the same time the carrying out a series of activities with social content, which bring audiovisual culture closer both to the general public and to especially vulnerable audiences.
The 13th edition of Humans Fest, to be held in June 2022will deepen this trajectory and the alliances already built to reinforce the spaces for cultural integration based on knowledge of the reality and active involvement in Valencian society.
GOALS
- Promote culture, mainly through cinema and other plastic and visual arts, with the intention of reaching a wide audience.
- Promote critical reflection on the causes of global inequality to provoke changes in behavioral patterns.
- The promotion, dissemination and training on Human Rights and the violation thereof.
- Encourage volunteering and the participation of society as agents of education for development.
- Develop initiatives and innovative proposals in the field of education for development and social awareness.
Humans Fest is part of the international network of Human Rights Film Festivals – Human Rights Film Network.
