A World in Motion 2025 comprises a selection of 18 films screened in the last three editions of the Festival organized by the Foundation for Justice.
The cycle will travel to 18 Latin American countries, as well as Equatorial Guinea, through the Network of Cultural Centers of Spanish Cooperation and four Spanish Embassies in Latin America.
The Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival, Humans Fest, organized by the Foundation for Justice and the Film Library of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), are launching for the third consecutive year “A World in Motion”, a series that promotes the defense of human rights through cinema.
CINEMA AS A DRIVER OF CHANGE
Through a selection of 18 works—6 feature films and 12 short films—shown in the last three editions of the Humans Fest, the cycle addresses issues such as gender equality from different perspectives, access to work and decent housing, the fight for environmental rights or the defense of territories, among others.
A world in motion will take place throughout 2025 in eighteen Latin American countries and in Equatorial Guinea, through the AECID Network of Cultural Centers and the Spanish Embassies in Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador and Venezuela. The objective is to bring social and committed cinema to all corners, especially places where audiences suffer systematic violations of their rights, as reflected in these films, and where spaces for reflection are especially necessary.

ABOUT THE AECID FILM LIBRARY
The AECID Film Library, founded by Lola Millas, has been considered a support tool for screenings abroad through embassies, consulates, cultural and training centres or foreign universities. Its founder had the objective of sharing the commitment to cinema, its culture and knowledge in all parts of the world. For this reason, each year the AECID Lola Millas Film Library develops different actions linked to its social commitment, such as the cycle A world in motion which began in collaboration with Humans Fest in 2023.
