The VI Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival is an initiative of the Foundation for Justice, which we consider to be key to raising awareness of the Millennium Development Goals in society in general through art and culture, The festival offers a unique cinematographic space on Human Rights in the city of Valencia, as well as in its sub-venues.
The magic of cinema leads us to dream, to make reality what is difficult but not impossible, which is why the VI edition of the festival specializes in the screening of documentaries witnessing reality, without fiction through the truth of all testimonies. , without additives, we are convinced that they will serve to resume a path that we should never have left as a society, the recognition of human rights not as a chimera but as an innate right of the human being, we want all viewers to witness a reality and promote sensations that lead to individual action.
The VI Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival aims to open the eyes of society with hope placed in the future, a future that establishes as a principle the dignity of all people and the commitment of civil society to Human Rights. Culture and education are fundamental to make this possible.
In short, a celebration of human rights, therefore the screenings will be accompanied by workshops/debates aimed at influencing both personal and collective values, attitudes, and the construction of a critical knowledge of reality, through work in the areas educational, formal and non-formal, open to the general public and especially aimed at a young population with different locations in the City of Valencia and in other countries.
I want to highlight that this Festival would not be possible without the magnificent team made up of film, audiovisual and art professionals who make up a team that works on a voluntary basis and make it possible.
