À Punt is once again the official media outlet for the Valencia International Film and Human Rights Festival, Humans Fest. The Valencian public broadcaster has signed an agreement with the Foundation for Justice of the Valencian Community (FxJ), which is responsible for organizing the festival.

The festival will take place from May 29th to June 7th at various venues in the city of Valencia. This year, it's worth noting that the official feature film, fiction, and documentary section will feature ten premieres, two of which will be international.

In addition, this year's Honorary Peace and Justice Award will go to Hernán Zin, a war reporter, writer, and documentary filmmaker who has worked in more than ten countries and focused on social issues. He is the author of seven books and more than forty documentaries and has been nominated for Emmy, Latin Grammy, and Goya awards.

The festival will be dedicated to the role of journalism in armed conflicts, which will be the main focus of this year's edition. The documentary Dying to Tell, by Hernán Zi himself, will open the cycle on Friday, May 30 Armed conflicts and culture of peace at the Valencia Film Library. The documentary takes a journey back to the memory of Spanish war reporters and pays tribute to those who gave voice to victims, from Vietnam to Gaza, and denounced the suffering of the most innocent. At the end of the screening, the author, accompanied by the journalist Rosa Maria Calaf, will offer a discussion with the attendees.

Vicente Ordaz, president of the Audiovisual Corporation of the Valencian Community, emphasized that: "The agreement reflects À Punt's commitment to the values promoted by the Foundation for Justice, such as the defense of human rights, the denunciation of injustice, and the creation of opportunities for the most vulnerable groups or those at risk of exclusion."

For José María Tomás y Tío, president of the Foundation for Justice, "collaboration with À Punt helps us strengthen human rights in the Valencian Community. In fact, public broadcasting is the most powerful voice we can have in the media."

The feature films and documentaries in the official section can be seen at the Cines Babel; the short films in the SGAE room.

The festival has also planned free parallel talks and screenings outdoors in three Valencia neighborhoods: in the Plaza de la Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Gracia, in La Torre, on Saturday, May 31; in the courtyard of the Colegio de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados, in Nazaret, on Thursday, June 5; and in the Plaza del Jardín de la Ermita, in Los Orriols, on Friday, June 6.
