Les forces armades estaven recolzades pels Estats Units i condu\u00efdes pel general Suharto, que despr\u00e9s governaria Indon\u00e8sia durant d\u00e8cades. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula se centra a la figura d&#039;Anwar Congo. Els productors executius s\u00f3n Werner Herzog i Errol Morris.<\/p>\n<p>Les escenes es produeixen en l&#039;estil dels seus g\u00e8neres cinematogr\u00e0fics preferits: el de g\u00e0ngsters, el western i el musical. Oppenheimer ha anomenat el resultat \u00ab, un documental de la imaginaci\u00f3\u00bb. Va guanyar el Premi del Cinema Europeu 2013 al millor documental, el Premi de l&#039;\u00c0sia Pacific Screen Award i ha estat nominada als \u00d3scar el 2014.
