Among this selection, &quot;Tha missing Picture&quot; will be screened, which was nominated in 2013 for the Oscars as best foreign-language film. On the other hand, it was awarded Best Film at the Cannes Festival (\u201cUn Certain Regard\u201d section) and nominated for Best Documentary also in 2013 at the European Film Awards.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-430 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionporlajusticia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/La_imagen_perdida-969340884-large.jpg\" alt=\"La_imagen_perdida-969340884-large\" width=\"356\" height=\"501\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;The missing Picture&quot; is set during Pol Pot&#039;s communist regime in Cambodia. Thousands of people were dispossessed of their land and forced to work in agricultural fields. The dictatorship executed and tortured anyone it suspected of sedition. The relatives of director Rithy Panh, who escaped from his country when he was a teenager, disappeared one by one. To tell the story of this time, Panh searched for images of this atrocious period, but found nothing. He then created absent images using plasticine figures and dioramas.
