Parallel activities and meetings with directors as an ideal complement to the official sections of the festival. We start with strength and celebration with <strong>inauguration party<\/strong> (Friday the 10th at 10:45 p.m.) and <strong>closure<\/strong> (Friday the 17th at 10:45 p.m.) at Radio City, a space where people with diverse concerns, open, tolerant and creative minds meet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meetings with directors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We continue with the <strong>Meetings with directors<\/strong>, a space created to talk about the themes of movies. Here we describe each of those meetings so that, with an agenda and pen, you can write down the dates. \u2712\ufe0f\ud83d\udcd2<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccdThe movie <strong>in the same boat<\/strong> by Rudy Gnutti listens to specialists such as Zygmunt Bauman or the former president of Uruguay Jos\u00e9 Mujica, and testimonies from ordinary people in search of solutions to our accelerated society. We can almost say that the best thing will be what happens once the film is seen with the <strong>colloquium with Rudi Gnutti<\/strong> (director), <strong>Joan Romero<\/strong> (Professor of Human Geography at the University of Valencia) and <strong>Quique Sanchez<\/strong> (Foundation for Justice). Aim for Saturday the 11th, at 6pm at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ivac.gva.es\/la-filmoteca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Film Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udccd Sands of silence by Chelo \u00c1lvarez-Stehle<\/strong>, engages in a 15-year quest to expose the underworld of trafficking and sexual exploitation from Asia to the Americas from an intimate view of the endemic problem. At <strong>8pm on Sunday the 12th at the Filmoteca<\/strong> We will have the presentation of the documentary with the director, Claudia Garc\u00eda Giraldo, survivor of sociopolitical violence in Colombia and trafficking for sexual exploitation, and Pilar V\u00e1zquez, CEAR lawyer.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd On Monday the 13th at 8pm the <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionporlajusticia.org\/es\/seccion-oficial-de-cortometrajes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official short films section<\/a> at Arag\u00f3 Cinema and after the screenings, a meeting with the directors will be planned under the title <strong><em>Breaking boundaries through short films.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd On Tuesday the 14th, everyone <strong>the Film Library<\/strong>, because we will have a presentation of <strong>Tarajal: Dismantling impunity on the southern border<\/strong> by its directors Xavier Artigas and Xapo Ortega <strong>6pm<\/strong> with a subsequent colloquium with Jaume Dur\u00e0 (CEAR) to talk about migration, refugees, the right to asylum, police brutality and repression.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd Following at <strong>8pm<\/strong> we will have the premiere of <strong>The strategy of silence<\/strong> presented by its director Vicent Peris and Rosa Garrote, president of the Association of Metro Victims. Come debate during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd On Wednesday the 15th, the colloquiums will focus on the rights of indigenous peoples, natural resources and the economic model, under the subsequent colloquium of <strong>When Two Worlds Collide<\/strong> by Heidi Brandenburg and Mathew Orzel (to be screened at 6 p.m.). We will be accompanied by Mar\u00eda Escalona (Amnesty International PV), Pepa Pr\u00f3sper Candel (Valencia en Bici \u2013 Acci\u00f3 Ecologista Agr\u00f3) and Edgard Vega (Centre Del\u00e0s d&#039;Estudis de Pau).<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd At 8pm we will have the pleasure of having Khushboo Ranka and Vinay Shukla, directors of <strong>An Insignificant Man<\/strong> who together with Pablo O\u00f1ate (Professor of Political Sciences at UC3) will establish a colloquium around the new politics, democracy, participation and corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd The latest <strong>Meetings with directors<\/strong> We will have them on Thursday the 16th and they will revolve around transsexuality; transphobia, intolerance and exclusion, LGTBI groups and the social and sexual revolution in Cuba. In the pass of <strong>Just A Normal Person<\/strong> (at 6 p.m.) with its director Malin Bj\u00f6rkman-Widell and Sam Gisslow, protagonist of the documentary, and \u00c1ngel Gal\u00e1n, Movement Against Intolerance, and Jos\u00e9 de Lamo, General Director of Equality in Diversity of the GVA.
