This year Humans Fest<\/strong> wanted to dedicate a special section to the Women rights<\/strong> and claim their role in front of and behind the camera. To do this, we have partnered naturally with the Valencian festival Donate i Cinema<\/a>\u00a0which offers us two powerful meetings with two documentary filmmakers with an international profile: Lula G\u00f3mez and Emanuela Zucal\u00e0. His films will be screened at the MUVIM on February 18 and 19<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Dona<\/a><\/p>\n

Lula G\u00f3mez and 7 fighters for peace in Colombia<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lula G\u00f3mez is a Spanish journalist who regularly deals with the topic of gender<\/strong>. She is a contributor to El Pa\u00eds, La Marea and Tintalibre. The \u201cno\u201d from the media led him to self-produce and direct the documentary that we will see on Saturday, February 18 at 6 p.m.: \u00abWomen at the forefront, the law of the noblest<\/strong>\".<\/p>\n

This film made in 2016 tells the story of seven Colombian women who build alternatives to war<\/strong>. The word, memory, reintegration and justice are their weapons. The documentary has won First Prize at the Orqu\u00eddea de los Andes Festival and was a finalist at the Malaga festival.<\/p>\n

After the screening, there will be time for a discussion with the director. An ideal occasion to talk about the role of women in a still latent conflict like that of Colombia<\/strong>. It has been barely two months since the peace agreement was signed between the government and the FARC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A trip around the world with the Italian director Emanuela Zuccal\u00e0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday, February 19, we will travel to horn of africa<\/strong>, he Sahara<\/strong> y Albania<\/strong> with the short films of the filmmaker Emanuela Zuccal\u00e0. Journalist and documentary filmmaker specialized in women's rights, Zuccal\u00e0 was awarded the Freedom of Expression Award<\/strong> from Reporters Without Borders in 2012. His works have been published in "Io Donna", "El Corriere" and El Pa\u00eds. At Humans Fest we will learn about her role as a documentary director with three short films that address very different themes but whose stories have women as protagonists:<\/p>\n

A web-documentary about the coalition of women in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia to end the female genital mutilations<\/strong>. For more than 200 million women in the world, the transition to adulthood involves this cruel practice.<\/p>\n

The Law of Blood (2016)<\/strong> 13'<\/p>\n

Marjie Qukaj was murdered on June 14, 2012. She was 17 years old. She has been the only woman in many years to be the victim of a Blood revenge<\/strong>. His face is the symbol of the absurdity of the struggles between families in Northern Albania who have recovered a medieval code of accounting regulations.<\/p>\n
