{"id":13325,"date":"2025-10-23T10:16:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T08:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacionporlajusticia.org\/?p=13325"},"modified":"2025-10-23T10:16:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T08:16:29","slug":"datos-sobre-las-victimas-del-conflicto-armado-en-colombia-y-su-desplazamiento-interno-y-exilio-forzado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionporlajusticia.org\/en\/datos-sobre-las-victimas-del-conflicto-armado-en-colombia-y-su-desplazamiento-interno-y-exilio-forzado\/","title":{"rendered":"Data on victims of the armed conflict in Colombia and their internal displacement and forced exile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Exile was almost always the last resort for Colombians after suffering internal displacement, threats, murders of family members, or attacks.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Victim Assistance and Reparation Unit and its Single Victim Registry, between 1985 and 2021 there were <strong>more than nine million victims of the internal armed conflict<\/strong>; but there is an under-registration, since many people had to flee the country.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>victimizing events<\/strong> The most recurrent and reported were: <strong>homicides, forced disappearance, kidnapping, forced recruitment and forced displacement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Single Registry of Victims (RUV), as of November 2024, there are <strong>34,229 victims of the armed conflict abroad<\/strong>. Of these, 53,24% are women (18,225 victims), 46,22% are men (15,822 victims) and 0,53% belong to people with sexual orientation and<br \/>\nof diverse gender (181 victims).<\/p>\n<p>Faced with this reality, the Commission for the Clarification of the Truth established that <strong>\u201cExile is a violation in itself<\/strong> which shows the failure of State institutions in their duty to protect victims, as well as the responsibility of all armed actors in these violations.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The internal armed conflict in Colombia crossed borders and forced social leaders, human rights defenders, Indigenous people, Afro-descendants, LGBTIQ+ people, union members, and academics to abandon their homes, projects, and families to save their lives.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not all migrants leave by choice; sometimes they do so to escape situations of extreme violence. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just by informing yourself and sharing this information, you are already contributing to their situation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<a href='' class='small-button smallblue' target=\"_blank\">Discover the post on Instagram<\/a>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; El exilio fue casi siempre el \u00faltimo recurso al que recurrieron las y los colombianos despu\u00e9s de sufrir desplazamientos forzados internos, amenazas, homicidios de familiares o atentados.
